Michelle L. Teichman grew up in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She loves to write, read, and mostly talk about those two things incessantly. She also loves her wife, her dog, her family, wine, bourbon, and pretty much anything to do with women’s rights, LGBTQ causes, progressive worldwide movements and outreach, and the supernatural.
In 2007, Michelle graduated from the most exclusive writing program in Canada.
Her mentors include:
- Susan Swan (“The Wives of Bath,” upon which the movie “Lost and Delirious” was based)
- Richard Teleky (“The Paris Years of Rosie Kamin”)
- Shyam Selvadurai (“Funny Boy”)
- Jove Belle (“Cake”)
Her first novel, The Gentleman: An Alex Lines Novel is undergoing revisions to be re-released in late 2017, and is currently unavailable for sale.
Along with the new edition of The Gentleman: An Alex Lines Novel, Michelle is anticipated to release two new first edition novels in 2017 with Dirt Road Books, including She Used to be Mine.
